All Australian registered Psychologists have completed a university level of education focusing on understanding the human behaviour and mental processes. They have been trained to use evidence-based strategies to help people overcome challenges and improve their general well-being. Evidence-based strategies means that the therapy being used is backed up by extensive research and has been seen to be effective in dealing with the person's problems.
At Peaceful Panda Psychology, evidence-based strategies that are commonly used include:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Solution Focused Therapy
Of course, there is no one therapeutic approach that will work for everyone. Each person and their circumstances are different. The therapy and the sessions provided will be tailored to each individual to ensure that the best results are achieved. Irene will take the time to get to know you and understand how to best support and assist you.
Services can be provided in-person (in the office) and via telehealth (zoom or phone).
